1. Complete your Skilbi profile:

It is important that you complete your Skilbi profile to allow mentors to truly understand your goals and learn more about you. Every student brings value to any relationship and mentors want to know who you truly are.

Critical components to a profile:

- Tagline

- Bio

- Get to know me

- Interest

- Skills

- Education

- Experience

- Awards and Certifications

- Proud Moments

2. Complete a SMART Goal:

You must complete a SMART Goal before reaching out to a mentor. This ensures that you have a specific goal you want a mentor to help you achieve. You can have multiple goals and reach out to multiple mentors to help you achieve your goals.

3. Make your profile public:

We respect your privacy and by default, your profiles are private at the time you create your account. Please switch your profile to “public” when your SMART Goal is completed.

4. Request coffee chats:

Go to your mentor hub and connect to mentors for coffee chats. If a mentor approves your request, you will be able to talk on the basis of coffee chats. Note that coffee chats are not mentorship, rather a way for you and your mentor to assess the right fit. Every coffee chat requires a note. Make sure you write a good introductory note.

5. Mentorship:

When a mentor decides to have a formal mentoring relationship with you, you will be taken to a mentor dashboard.

6. Build and grow:

Continue having coffee chats with other mentors to grow your network and help accelerate your career development.

7. Review and restart:

When you complete your mentoring experience, please review and we invite you to start a new experience.

Note:

The duration of any mentoring experience is decided by the mentor based on the SMART Goal presented by the mentee.
